Thomas Tuchel has handed Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham a maiden senior England summons, pairing him with older brother Jude for November’s Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain. Fulham’s Josh King is the other first-time pick in a 25-man party.
England host Croatia at Wembley on 12 November before travelling to Madrid three days later. Harry Kane is one appearance from surpassing Peter Shilton’s men’s caps record of 125. Declan Rice and Djed Spence return from injury; Ben White is back for the first time since March after missing the World Cup summer through fitness trouble.
Tuchel said Under-21 boss Lee Carsley had praised Jobe for weeks and that Dortmund minutes justified the step. Used as a holding midfielder in the Bundesliga and as an eight for the youth side, Jobe arrived from Sunderland in 2025. “I saw the excitement straight away in his smile,” Tuchel added. Cole Palmer, Kobbie Mainoo and Noni Madueke miss out; Myles Lewis-Skelly is suspended for Croatia.
Twenty-one brother pairs have already represented England’s men, so a joint Bellingham appearance would join a long lineage rather than invent one. For now Jobe’s brief is to impress in camp while Kane, fresh from a Ballon d’Or, eyes the all-time cap mark.
Whether both siblings start remains Tuchel’s call—but the younger Bellingham has crossed the senior threshold.
Core names including Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Trent Alexander-Arnold remain. Absences for Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford push Tuchel toward wing alternatives, with Morgan Rogers and Rio Ngumoha gaining attention. For Jobe the immediate test is how quickly he absorbs senior patterns in a short midweek camp.
