Dodger Stadium briefly found its voice again. Then Jake Bauers refused every empty outcome, Garrett Mitchell cleared the fence right after him, and Milwaukee left Los Angeles holding a 6-2 win plus a 3-0 series lead.

Bauers’ plate appearance became an eleven-pitch duel with Blake Snell — fouls on the eighth, ninth and tenth offerings — before a heater that leaked across the middle sailed roughly 412 feet into the right-field seats for a two-run edge. Mitchell’s solo blast landed one batter later. Jackson Chourio had already jumped Snell’s opening pitch of the night for a solo shot, and Robert Gasser blanked the champions across five frames.

Another Milwaukee victory would mean a first Fall Classic trip since 1982. The Brewers already own five October comebacks. Clubs that tumble into an 0-3 hole rarely escape: most are swept; almost none force a seventh game. Los Angeles, chasing a third straight title after sweeping Milwaukee a year ago, now stares at that cliff.

Dave Roberts — who once lived the only famous reverse sweep, with Boston in 2004 — will hand Game 4 to Tyler Glasnow on Thursday. Milwaukee can answer with Dustin May or a parade of high-leverage arms. Snell had retired fourteen hitters in a row after the early shock before Bauers broke the spell.

The visitors keep answering pressure with plate appearances that refuse to die. The hosts have one night left at home to prove the dynasty still has oxygen.
